Florian Song Nguyen

Pervaded by questions of identity, fascinated by mysticism and its invisible territories, Florian Song Nguyen uses the medium of drawing as a tool of exploration.
He traces a world from which men, stones, birds, monsters, and stray dogs emerge and whose atmosphere seeks to communicate with our deep intimacy.

Each of his pieces is the culmination of a long journey rooted in contemplation, from which a fluid and meticulous gesture shines through.

Conceived in a logic of series, Florian´s drawings organically unfold in the form of books, installations, and performances.

French artist of Vietnamese origin, Florian Song Nguyen lives and works between Paris, Ho Chi Minh City, and Marrakech. His works have been exhibited at the Museum of Fine Arts in Ho Chi Minh City, at the French Institute in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, SPRMKT art space in Singapore, Metaxu and Axolotl gallery in Toulon, A2Z art Gallery in Paris, Rue de Tanger in Casablanca and 12th Biennale of Berlin.
