Come and join our kids’ activities at O Gabinete de Madame Thao. Throughout the year, our gallery hosts a variety of activities, including exhibitions, art sessions, workshops, and art courses for kids as part of our “o little gabinete” program. As part of our program, we also invite group classes to visit our art studio for engaging tours and offer custom-tailored, themed art activities directly at your chosen location.

Art Course for kids between 7 and 12
Join us for an artistic journey through time!
Throughout the year, we’ll explore the great periods of art history while learning the basics of drawing and experimenting with various techniques. From cave paintings to contemporary art practices like video and performance, and from Renaissance portraits to collage, we’ll also engage in activities related to our temporary exhibitions. We’ll finish the year with a group exhibition showcasing the little artists’ masterpieces.
The course will be taught by our artist/teacher and an assistant, with a class size limited to 10 students.
On Tuesdays from 5pm – 6:30pm
Starting September 3, 2024
Languages: English, French, Portuguese*
*with a minimum of 2 Portuguese-speaking students, the course can also be taught in Portuguese

Complementing O Gabinete’s exhibitions, we organize themed art sessions for kids and families. These sessions offer a nice opportunity to spend creative time together, exploring and drawing inspiration from the works and artistic practices of local and international artists featured in our gallery.
